Despacito the song of Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi along with Daddy Yankee was released in 2017. It became the number streaming music of that moment within just six months. The single Despacito, a mixture of pop music with reggaeton was not only a way to bring new attention to reggaeton music but also increased interest in Latin music. In Billboard's Top 100 in 2015 had two songs that were mostly Spanish languages, while the year in 2016 there were four. In 2017, at the height of popularity for Despacito 19, 19 songs mostly in Spanish were included in the Billboard Top 100. In 2020, there will be 41 songs in this category. Justin Bieber remixed Despacito 2017 with a version in two languages. In the following months, several artistes collaborated with Reggaeton's biggest stars like Drake as well as Bad Bunny with MIA (2018), Madonna and Maluma together with Medellin 2019. As early as 2020, some reggaeton musicians felt dissatisfied with the direction it was moving towards the popular. Rauw Alajandro is a part of a new generation of musicians who are determined to shift the course. Incorporating elements of electronic dance music, and different styles was an accepted practice.
