Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22, 1984, in New York City New York. She is an American actor and singer whose talents have won her recognition across many genres - from thrillers and adventure films to period dramas. Johansson was born in New York City, and raised there by her father who was an architect and her mother, a producer. Hunter Her twin brother and She were all the smallest of four kids. At the age of seven years old, she began making auditions for TV commercials. She was enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly after and attended the Professional Children's School, Manhattan for further training. Johansson appeared next as a character in Just Cause (1996), however she was Manny & Lo 1996 that made her famous. The movie is about two orphaned girls who are running away. Then, she was awarded the praise of critics for playing the role of a teenager who been injured and left her disfigured as she appeared in The Horse Whisperer (1998). Her popularity grew with the film Ghost World (2002) as the self-deprecating outcast Rebecca. She decided, like the majority of actresses just starting out, to refine her abilities in the theatre. She was involved in various productions throughout the USA in the midst of making her stage debut. She was educated at Stonestreet Studios, the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
