Dina Meyer was born at Forest Hills Queens New York. Just before finishing junior high, she moved from Queens into Dix Hills Long Island. She has two siblings, an older brother named Gregory and a younger brother known as Evan. At the age of 9 until 16, she began working in the entertainment business through modelling. She began her training in acting at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and studied Sanford Meisner's acting techniques, with Ron Stetson, for about three years. The other actors who received such education include Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, as well as other actors. Her first role was in the soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210, that required her to relocate out to Los Angeles. The role was as the lead lady on Johnny Mnemonic in which she was able to perform almost every stunt herself, and established her skills as an actress. Her talent agent was also representing Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent she was able get a regular role on Friends.
